We believe in providing client-centered services through individual counseling, professional supervision, and specialized training. Our goal is to facilitate introspection and provide the real world strategies necessary for individuals to be empowered to be the best version of themselves.

Stephanie Books,

LCSW-S

Stephanie Books is a Board Approved Supervisor and Licensed Clinical Social Worker who earned her Bachelor of Science in Social Work at Texas Christian University and Master of Science in Social Work at the University of Texas at Arlington. Stephanie’s extensive experience includes being the Victim Services Supervisor for a police department recognized for their Excellence in Victim Services by the International Association of Chiefs of Police, the Program Director for one of the five largest CASA programs in the state of Texas, and the Clinical Coordinator for the Mental Health Clinic for a large, urban school district. Some of Stephanie’s professional credentials include being trained in Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) Individual and Peer Support and CISM Group Crisis Intervention; a TBRI Educator; and a Certified Parent Educator. Current activities include serving as an Adjunct Professor for UTA and as Texas Victim Services Association (TVSA) Advanced Academy faculty. Her accolades include being named the TCU Field Instructor of the Year and NASW North Central Texas- Fort Worth Area’s honor for Lifetime Achievement.

Jennifer Sterling, LCSW-S

Jennifer Sterling is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Board Approved Supervisor who earned both her Bachelor and Master of Science in Social Work from Abilene Christian University. Jennifer’s background experience includes program development and implementation of the Big Country CASA program in Abilene, the Transition Specialists program at Cook Children’s, and in her current position as the Coordinator of the Crime Victim Services unit within the University of Texas at Arlington Police Department. She has also served as a Team Lead for one the five largest CASA programs in the state of Texas supervising staff and volunteers as they advocate for children in the foster care system. Additionally, she has worked with children as a Primary Prevention Educator regarding sexual abuse education and healthy boundaries, and healthy dating relationships, and as a grief counselor. Jennifer’s professional credentials include being a TBRI Educator, a Board Member for the Texas Victim Services Association, and current licensed foster parent. Her accolades include Leadership in Victim Services, Non-Sworn Supervisor of the Year (2019-2020), and the 2021 Engells Award for Outstanding Non-Sworn Employee.
